Creative Critical Reflection Question 2

How does your product engage with audiences and how would it be distributed/marketed as a real media text?

The product is made for a PG-13 Audience. Anyone above this age will understand the difficulties of a relationship in high school, though this does not excuse abuse. Many high school relationships can contain some form of abuse, whether physical or verbal. Sometimes abuse is even dismissed as, “He/She was just having a rough day”. This is the way that the couple in our product was being shown, because one would not expect Rebecca to lash out that way.

We wanted audiences to relate to the hardship of being mistreated by someone that they love. Also, just to show that men, though they are the majority of abusers, can also be on the receiving end of the abuse.

This would be marketed with a trailer being shown in movie theaters when the previews are going on. Then, it would be released to movie theaters and depending on the success of the film, it would be released to movie viewing platforms such as Netflix sooner or later.
